Fans of Nottingham Forest are desperate to see the Championship club sign on-loan midfielder Jack Colback on a permanent deal from Newcastle.
Colback moved to the City Ground until the end of the season after being frozen out of the first team picture at his boyhood club by Rafa Benitez, linking up with former Middlesbrough boss Aitor Karanka in the Midlands.
And, despite playing only five games for Forest, the 28-year-old has already convinced supporters that Karanka should try to sign him permanently in the summer before he attracts the interest of Premier League clubs.
The Killingworth-born midfielder, who began his career at arch rivals Sunderland, has certainly hit the ground running in the second-tier and fans are equally worried that Colback’s wages may prove a stumbling block in any potential transfer.
Despite those concerns, the Forest faithful have voiced their delight with Colback and his form on Twitter.
Whatever I said, whatever I did I didn’t mean it, I just want Colback for good. Jack Colback, Jack Colback, Jack Colback for good. #nffc

Benitez has made it crystal clear that Colback has no future at Newcastle and will once again attempt to offload the midfielder in the transfer window.
