A crucial few months lie ahead for Newcastle United, as they push to retain their Premier League status and then bolster their squad in the summer for additions that can help provide stability to Tyneside.
The January transfer window proved to be frustrating once again for Rafael Benitez, who was forced to complete his signings in the loan market- bringing in Kenedy, Martin Dubravka and Islam Slimani in from Chelsea, Sparta Prague and Leicester City respectively.
Newcastle will certainly hope for better fortunes in the summer market and reports suggest that an early move could be made for St. Etienne’s Jonathan Bamba, who is set to be out of contract at the end of the season after the French side gave up their push to get him to agree to new terms.
The Magpies will face competition from Huddersfield Town for the French U21 international but looking for recruits in France is a good move- and this trio should also be on Newcastle’s wish-list.
