Newcastle United have struggled to complete deals in the January transfer window but the first signing of the mid-season window is set to go ahead imminently.
GoalĀ reports that Chelsea youngster Kenedy is set to finalise his deal to join Newcastle United on-loan imminently and a medical with the Tyneside giant is set to go ahead within the next 24 hours.
The Brazilian has long been linked with a move to the North East throughout the January transfer window but Chelsea boss Antonio Conte was initially reluctant to improve a departure due to a perceived lack of depth within his squad.
However, despite Kenedy earning first-team opportunities with the Blues this month, Chelsea have now approved a deal and Newcastle will benefit from the addition of the South American in the market.
Rafael Benitez has long been chasing a new signing to bolster his options down the left side and Kenedy will prove to be a valuable asset for the remainder of the season.
