Newcastle United are set for a crucial six weeks ahead as they seek to rise out of the Premier League’s relegation zone and secure the additions in January that can help them secure their status within the top-flight for another year.

Fortunately, the Magpies have been handed a piece of positive news as we edge towards the mid-season window as report state that the first piece of January business has already been completed by Rafael Benitez’s side.

The Daily MailĀ states Newcastle have agreed a loan deal for Chelsea’s Brazilian starlet Kenedy, who will join the Tuneside giants in January and stay with the club for the duration of their relegation battle until the end of the campaign.

Newcastle had tried to sign the South American in the summer, only for Antonio Conte to decide that he was needed at Stamford Bridge, but he’s featured just three times in the League Cup this season.

The 21-year-old will bolster the club’s options on the left-flank, an area where Benitez has been keen to improve his squad.
