Manchester United left back Luke Shaw will be be allowed to leave the club on loan in January, according to the Sun.

The England international is interesting a number of Premier League clubs, with Newcastle reportedly among them, and the 22 year old is believed to be keen on leaving Old Trafford to improve his selection chances for the World Cup.

Shaw is said to be not on speaking terms with manager Jose Mourinho, and the full back believes he has done everything to prove himself to the Portuguese boss. A loan move until the end of the season before a permanent departure next summer, is believed to be the avenue that United will look to pursue.

The Chronicle reported this week that Rafa Benitez is seeking a left back in the January transfer window, and with doubts remaining over what transfer funds he will have available to sign new players, a loan bid for an experienced Premier League defender like Shaw would likely be considered.
