Newcastle United have struggled for stability over the past month or so, having lost their last three Premier League matches and having a record of just one win from their last six.
That loss of form has seen the Magpies plummet down the league table and has gone hand-in-hand in a period where Newcastle have had a number of injury issues plague their side, particularly in defence.
However, that difficulty could be behind Rafael Benitez and his side as HITC reports a huge defensive boost is around the corner, with both Paul Dummett and Massimo Haidara set to return from injuries.
The Magpies have struggled at left-back this season, often deploying DeAndre Yedlin out of position, but those issues seem to be behind them as Dummett is edging towards a recovery and Haidara recently featured for the U23’s.
Dummett is likely to stand as first-choice on the left side of defence, with Haidara as his understudy.
