Rafael Benitez is one of a number of managers who have been linked with the vacant managers job at West Ham United.

The Hammers are on the search for a new boss after Slaven Bilic was sacked earlier today, only 11 games into the new campaign.

Bilic had managed to guide his side to only two wins so far this season in the top flight, form that sees them currently sit in the Premier League’s relegation zone and ultimately cost the Croatian his position at the London Stadium.

Now, only hours after his dismissal, a host of names have been linked with the vacant job in East London, including Newcastle boss Rafael Benitez.

Benitez, who has been in charge of Newcastle since early 2016 and guided the Magpies back to the Premier League via winning the Championship in the last campaign, had previously been touted to replace Bilic should be given the axe from West Ham.

The Spaniard is tipped at 33/1 to become the next Hammers boss according to Odds Checker.

Thankfully for Newcastle fans however, he is not the favourite for the job.

David Moyes is the odds on favourite for the open position in East London, while Ronald Koeman, Alan Pardew and Roberto Mancini are also hotly tipped to be Bilic’s replacement.
