Newcastle United youngster Adam Armstong is yet to win over the supporters at his loan club Bolton Wanderers, as the 20-year-old is yet to find the net in any of his 13 Championship appearances so far.
Armstrong has shown some decent performances, netting two goals in three Carabao Cup games, but the Newcastle loanee has failed to transfer that form into the league campaign- and Bolton are suffering as a result.
Only five players have scored for Bolton in the league this season, with the top-scorers being Sammy Ameobi and Gary Madine on two, and the club’s woes in front of goal have left them rooted to the bottom of the table.
Bolton need a huge improvement in fortune if they’re to fend away the threat of relegation to League One and just one win in 14 games isn’t the return they need, so the squad needs to up their game if things are to improve.
That goes for Armstrong to, as Bolton fans are far from impressed with his performances.
Why does Armstrong keep starting over ALF? #bwfc
