Newcastle United have started life back in the Premier League spectacularly, with the Magpies currently sat seventh after nine games- putting them well on course to reach their target of retaining their top-flight status.
A wealth of optimism surrounds the club due to the continued takeover talks, with Mike Ashley putting the club up for sale recently and hoping to conclude a deal before the festive season- which may hand the Magpies a huge boost ahead of the January transfer window.
Rafael Benitez was seeking further funds in the summer, which he did not receive from Ashley, and any new owners will have to keep the Spaniard content with money to spend- and the Magpies may look to bolster their options between the sticks.
