Ross Barkley
A player who almost moved in the summer, having heavily been linked to Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea, Ross Barkley remains in limbo at Everton and needs stability. Whilst it’s difficult to turn down a move to a Champions League side, they wouldn’t be able to offer guaranteed starts.
Newcastle, however, could do exactly that and provide the platform for Barkley to get his career back on track. He still has the chance to become a crucial asset for the national side, due to the lack of top-class options in central midfield, and a move to Newcastle could provide him with that platform.
