Newcastle United have impressed in the Premier League so far but they have struggled to find consistency in front of goal, with summer signing Joselu hitting the net just twice but standing as the club’s joint leading scorer.
Aleksander Mitrovic has struggled to get back into the side after his early suspension and Dwight Gayle, the star of the Championship winning side, has failed to find the net this season and looks out of his depth at times.
The Magpies are therefore widely reported to be looking to bring in a new striker in January and Liverpool outcast Danny Ings has been mentioned. However, that deal may now be off the table as rival Premier League clubs are pursuing his services.
Newcastle may well be forced to pursue other options then but thankfully there is players on the market to pursue, including the three options that we’ve identified here- all of whom could provide a massive boost.
