Newcastle face a crunch test in the Premier League this evening as they travel to face fellow Premier League overachievers Burnley, with the Magpies having the opportunity to rise to sixth in the standings.

Rafael Benitez’s side enter this evening’s clash on the back of three matches undefeated in October and it’s certainly feasible that the Tyneside giants can extend that run to five games, with tonight’s clash with Burnley followed by a home tie against Bournemouth.

Two victories would give Newcastle a tremendous boost heading into November, where the first big challenge comes away against Manchester United, but fans may perhaps be a little wary of the Magpies’ inconsistencies in front of goal.

Newcastle are yet to settle on a first-choice striker and have lacked the consistency that other sides have in front of goal, which may prove to be their downfall as the season progresses, and some fans are calling for change.

Summer signing Joselu remains the regular in Benitez’s plans but many are calling for Dwight Gayle, last season’s top-scorer, and Serbian international Aleksander Mitrovic to be given their chance- and have made their opinions known on social media.
