Lee Ryder has revealed that Newcastle United have rejected loan offers for Aleksandar Mitrovic in the last few weeks.
Indeed, the Serbian’s future on Tyneside has been called into question at various points of his career in black and white, with Rafa Benitez largely opting to use Dwight Gayle as his main central striker.

The signing of Joselu from Stoke City may have pushed Mitrovic even further down the pecking order, though it’s not as if the Magpies have an abundance to choose from right now.
Since joining from Anderlecht in the summer of 2015, the 22-year-old has certainly split opinion at St. James’ Park. Though he clearly loves the club, his disciplinary problems and fairly inconsistent finishing mean he has his fair share of doubters.
Whether or not the marksman could be moved on should Benitez manage to bring in a replacement remains to be seen, though for now, it seems he remains a part of the plans.
