According to Spanish outlet Don BalonReal Madrid midfielder Lucas Vazquez will be open to leaving the Santiago Bernabeu this summer, should they sign Monaco forward Kylian Mbappe.

The La Roja international has been touted as a potential target for former manager Rafa Benitez at St. James’ Park and this report does claim he has an offer from the Magpies.

Indeed, they, along with the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and Roma are understood to have offered the 26-year-old a route out of the Spanish capital, with the player reportedly aiming to make it to the World Cup next summer.

He’s thought to have changed his mind over his stance of leaving Los Blancos and the potential signing of Mbappe could apparently force him to look elsewhere.

While the winger did work under Benitez, it would surely be difficult for Newcastle to land him. It’s barely been the easiest transfer window for the club and the former Espanyol man would presumably cost rather a lot of money.

His signing would be a major coup for the Toon Army, though the other parties said to be keen on him may have more financial power.
