Lee Ryder has revealed on Twitter that Newcastle United are looking at a couple of loan options as they look to improve their squad even further ahead of the new campaign.
Five players have been brought into the squad over the course of the summer, though few would doubt the fact that the summer window has proved rather disappointing on Tyneside thus far.

It’s obvious that Premier League teams are now dealing in a hyper inflated market just by looking at other prices around the division, and Ryder has revealed the club are looking in the loan market.
Spanish U21 international midfielder Mikel Merino has joined on a temporary basis – though with a view to a permanent move – while a loan deal for Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham is believed to have collapsed.
With a striker and a full-back desperately needed at St. James’ Park, it’ll be interesting to see who joins, if any, on loan.
Thoughts?
