Perhaps unsurprisingly, Rafa Benitez’s happiness with life at Newcastle United has once again been called into question.
Indeed, it’s not the first time he’s said to be frustrated with how the summer window is panning out on Tyneside and the Daily Mirror claim he’s heading for showdown talks with Mike Ashley.
Obviously, it’s been a difficult window, though that doesn’t seem to be a problem solely at St. James’ Park. Outside of the top six, Everton and West Ham United, not too many of the other teams have spent huge money, despite the lavish riches available to those in the Premier League.
Benitez even recently claimed he was happy when speaking to a fans’ forum, so Newcastle fans on Twitter have taken the reports with a pinch of salt and have decided to take an ironic look at them.
It’s unlikely that this will be the last time reports of this ilk rear their ugly head, though we can’t go on getting overly worried until we have something concrete.
With that in mind, here’s a look at the reaction on Twitter.
no signing – press print the rafa unhappy story – new signing comes in – people happy – a week goes by- no signing – repeat #nufc

Rafa already stated he's happy at the club, I'm sure even he didn't predict how ridiculous this window would be. 5 in & more to come #NUFC

St James Park should be called The White House and #NUFC fans should be named @realDonaldTrump, calling rumours on Rafa leaving 'fake news'

If Rafa was upset he would say! He did at Liverpool and he did at Valencia and Madrid #Rafa #NUFC
