The rivalry between Newcastle United and Aston Villa has been building over the years, with the Villains playing big parts in the Magpies’ two relegations from the Premier League.
Indeed, the Championship campaign last time out was widely expected to be a straight fight between the two for the title, though it was only the Toon Army who marched to the crown.
Villa have seriously struggled in the second tier, starting this season rather awfully, much to the delight of Newcastle United supporters all around the world. Now, recent links touting Steve Bruce with a move for St. James’ Park outcast Jack Colback have sparked quite the reaction online.
The 26-year-old is thought to have fallen out with Rafa Benitez after refusing to train in what looks like being a sour end to a pretty lacklustre career in black and white.
