West Brom have made an enquiry to Arsenal about Kieran Gibbs.

According to a report in the Daily Mail the Baggies were quoted a price of £12m for the Gunners defender.

Gibbs is also in the plans of Newcastle and Watford but so far there has been little follow up on a player who has less than a year to run on his contract.

The 27 year old has spent his entire career with Arsenal except for a loan spell with Norwich and is now surplus to requirements.

Arsene Wenger has been told to trim his first team squad with Gibbs left out of his pre-season plans touring Australia and China.

Rafa Benitez is on the look out for time served Premier League players with Gibbs perfectly fitting the bill.

Once the price drops to around £8m the bids are likely to begin with no takers at Arsenal’s current asking price.
