Swansea, Newcastle and Everton have been linked with a move for Jonathan Viera.
According to a report on Wales on Line all three Premier League clubs are in contact with Las Palmas about the highly rated midfielder.
A fee of 30 million euros has been mentioned which would seem on the high side for a 27-year-old who has only had two seasons experience of top flight football in the Spanish league.
Swansea appear to be favourites to sign Viera who is believed to be lined up as a replacement for Gylfi Sigurdsson who seems bound for Everton.
That would take the Goodison club out of the equation but a major question mark remains over whether Newcastle would be prepared to smash their transfer record to snap up Viera.
Newcastle’s transfer record stands at £17m paid to Real Madrid for Michael Owen with most activity during this transfer window aimed at players valued at around £10m.
