Newcastle fans have reacted warmly to the possibility of Sheyi Ojo joining on loan.
Overnight reports suggested that Rafa Benitez had approached Liverpool to discuss taking the winger on loan for the new season.
With no real signs of progress in the long drawn out Florian Lejeune saga news of interest in Ojo came as a welcome relief to the Newcastle support who are waiting on new faces for their return to the Premier League.

Ojo is highly rated throughout the game but at 20 years of age needs to get a good batch of first team appearances behind him.
With Liverpool back in the Champions League Jurgen Klopp is looking to strengthen his first team squad which is likely to limit opportunities for emerging players.
Newcastle had an offer for Ojo knocked back in January but with promotion secured and a whole season of top flight football to look forward to Benitez will be hoping to convince Klopp of the benefits of a season spent in the north-east.
