Yoan Gouffran

Yoan Gouffran started the season superbly, with his goalscoring exploits endearing him to the St. James’ Park faithful more than they ever had since he joined back in 2013. In fact, the Magpies even went 13 games unbeaten during his first 13 appearances of the season.

However, the Frenchman’s form has nosedived ever since (excluding a key role in the win over Cardiff City) and Achraf Lazaar surely did enough against Birmingham to earn a starting berth on Saturday.
