Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is ready to block any move Newcastle United make for exciting winger Sheyi Ojo this month, according to the Liverpool Echo

With Rafa Benitez currently struggling for both creative midfielders and wide attackers in equal measure, the 19-year-old had been touted as a potential target to the Magpies as the Spaniard weighed up a raid on his former club.

Only Matt Ritchie and Yoan Gouffran are currently available for selection in such berths, with Christian Atsu away at the African Cup of Nations and Rolando Aarons a long-term injury.

However, the report stresses the current incumbent of the Anfield hot-seat, Klopp, is against the idea of allowing the England U19 international to leave Merseyside at all this season. The former MK Dons trainee is reportedly being kept by the Kop titans as his German coach believe him important to their fighting on three fronts.

He made his first-team debut for the Reds over a year ago now, though a stress fracture in his back has so far limited his involvement this time round, though he did appear in the FA Cup against Plymouth recently.

Should Newcastle do all they can to land Ojo? Let us know below..
