Rafa Benitez has so far implemented a rotation policy for pretty much every game this season, keeping the Newcastle United faithful guessing every single match day. 

After a busy summer transfer window on Tyneside, the squad is at its most balanced in years under the Spaniard’s stewardship in order to deal with long and arduous Championship campaign.

Still, it’s not often this season where changes have been imposed upon the former Liverpool and Real Madrid coach as he and the new-look medical setup right the wrongs of previous regimes.

So Matt Ritchie’s suspension for this weekend’s game against Cardiff City leaves the 56-year-old with some food for thought.

Largely one of few ever-presents in the team thus far, there’s a few options to replace the Scotland international.

However, only one truly stands out.

Though the likes of Ayoze Perez and DeAndre Yedlin are capable of undertaking a berth on the right of a three-pronged attack in support of a central striker, fellow summer signing Christian Astu should be handed a start.
