Newcastle United have been backed to break Reading’s stunning 106 points total by betting giants Ladbrokes.

Despite a rocky start to the campaign, with two losses in the first two games, the Toon Army top the Championship and are three points ahead of their nearest challengers in second.

During their last stint in the second tier, the Magpies were just four points off reaching that landmark over half a decade.

Interestingly, the Tyneside titans are level on points with what the Royals had chalked up and boast MORE wins than Steve Coppell’s side of 2005-06.

Now, Ladbrokes have revealed that they are pricing Rafa Benitez’s men at just 9/1 to smash that tally over the course of this campaign.

Still, the Berkshire outfit only lost two games during that entire season, a record never equaled in the decade that has since passed.

Newcastle have already lost that amount of games, though look like this season’s Harlem Globe Trotters indeed.

Can Newcastle do it? Let us know below…
