Paris Saint-Germain have joined Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund and a host of other clubs in the running for Newcastle midfielder Moussa Sissoko, according to Spanish publication El Confidencial.

The report states that Magpies manager Rafa Benitez is however unwilling to let the 26 year old leave for less than the €41million (£35million) asking price that has been placed on the French international.

Before the European Championships (where Sissoko excelled in the 1-0 final loss against Portugal), the Frenchman was subject to interest from the likes of German side Hamburg who offered as little as €12million for the midfielder, reports El Confidencial, but the Magpies rejected the offer and are now looking to cash in after the player had a successful international tournament.

Benitez has stated in recent days that the club is willing to listen to offers for players but they will look at each offer on a case by case basis to evaluate whether they should be allowed to leave.
