The Evening Chronicle is reporting that Newcastle right back Daryl Janmaat will most likely depart the club in the next couple of weeks. Although no bid has currently been made for the Dutch international, the arrival of Jesus Gamez from Atletico Madrid has increased speculation that the 26 year old’s time is up on Tyneside.
We reported yesterday that Janmaat is the subject of interest from Watford, but according to the Chronicle, Italian sides Inter Milan and Roma are also said to be looking at the full back. The Dutchman is currently with the Magpies on a preseason training camp in Ireland with other first team regulars but his future beyond that is still very much uncertain, especially after the arrival of Gamez on Friday.
Janmaat joined for approximately £5million from Dutch side Feyenoord two years ago. He made 35 appearances in all competitions last season, scoring two goals and providing four assists.
