Twitter and Facebook are home to some great Newcastle United pictures, but surely this one has to top the lot?
The Tyne-Wear derby is one of the fiercest in British football.
Those in north London will talk about the intensity of the matches between Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United v Man City is pretty tasty, as is the Merseyside derby, but Newcastle v Sunderland has to be right up there.
The jubilance of winning 5-1 a couple of years ago was matched by the agony of seeing Sunderland manager Paolo Di Canio slide on his knees at St James’ Park last season as the Mackems won 3-0.
Let’s face it, Newcastle and Sunderland fans simply don’t like each other and as this picture shows, it’s instilled into you at a young age!
Nice to see a young Newcastle fan, with Moussa Sissoko on the back of his black and white shirt, visiting the Stadium of Light and giving it the ‘Vs’ at the gates.
