Les Ferdinand. Sir Les; one of the best Newcastle United strikers over the past couple of decades who formed a deadly, albeit not very long, partnership with Newcastle legend Alan Shearer.
There are few strikers that can boast as good a record for the Magpies as Ferdinand, with Les having scored 41 goals in 68 Premier League appearances for Newcastle.
His opportunities for England were limited to just 17 caps, in which he managed a handful of goals, and while he didn’t play a game at Euro ’96, he was part of the squad, which is the focus for the latest Nivea campaign.
Ferdinand and two of his former teammates have been chosen as, literally, the faces of Nivea’s latest advert and, as you’d expect from ex-footballers, they had plenty of fun making it.
Les lines up with former Arsenal goalkeeper David Seaman and ex-Manchester United midfielder Paul Ince, and the three of them can’t help but lark around creating the advert.

Most recently Les Ferdinand has been on the coaching staff at White Hart Lane for Tottenham Hotspur, another of his former clubs, but when you have so much fun making an ad, I’m sure he’ll be able to squeeze a few more in!
