Papiss Cisse vs Chelsea The last time Newcastle United won a league match against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, ‘Take my Breath Away’ by Berlin was number one in the charts and boy did Papiss Cisse’s two goals tonight take everyone’s breath away in the stadium.

You run out of superlatives to say about Papiss Demba Cisse. The Senegalese striker is already a legend on Tyneside an the Newcastle number nine just can’t stop scoring as he secured yet another brace against Chelsea tonight.

Cisse’s first goal was special, but his second was unbelievable! For his first Davide Santon advanced down the left and cut inside to roll the ball to the edge of the box for Papiss. Cisse took one touch with his right foot to control it and then with his left slammed the ball into the top corner of the net, leaving Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech with no chance.

Then, late in the second half as Newcastle were running down the game, Ryan Taylor produced a long throw from about the half-way line on the left hand side. Shola Ameobi chested the ball down and nothing seemed on, but Papiss Cisse was reading a different script.

As the ball fell to him, Cisse didn’t bother taking a touch to control, he just hit across the ball with the outside of his right foot. Alan Pardew and the rest of Stamford Bridge then watched in amazement as the ball dipped and swerved into the far corner. Simply stunning!
