Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye has been awesome in his first season in the Premier League and while the Frenchman will be doing his all to get Newcastle into the Champions League, he’ll also have one eye on the summer and Euro 2012.
Cabaye has recently been a starter for Laurent Blanc’s France and the 26-year-old will be hoping to line up against England in June in his country’s opening match in the tournament and then attempt to go all the way to the final.
Yesterday Yohan was pictured in the new France national football team kit, which has been launched for Euro 2012 and Cabaye posted the picture along with this comment on Twitter:
“Du style, de la performance, voici le nouvel uniforme de l’équipe de France, celui que nous porterons à domicile cette année”. My French isn’t the greatest, but that loosely translates into English as: “Style, performance, here the new uniform of the team of France, that which we will carry in residence this year.”
Here is Cabaye casually posing with some of his French teammates into his new kit and there just happen to be some soldiers on horses in the background…
If Hatem Ben Arfa continues his unbelievable recent form until the end of the season then he’s sure to make Blanc’s squad and alongside Cabaye will give Newcastle fans two reasons to closely follow France’s fortunes in Euro 2012.

It means “the one which we will wear at home,” not “that which we will carry in residence.”
