Newcastle United’s January signing Papiss Cisse is already well on his way to becoming a Newcastle legend. The Senegal striker has taken to the Newcastle number nine shirt like a duck to water scoring seven goals in seven Premier League games.

Not even Alan Pardew could have hoped that Cisse would have hit the ground running as fast as he has and there’s simply no stopping Papiss scoring right now. Cisse’s goal scoring form is incredible at the moment and that’s from a man who can’t even speak English yet!

Alan Pardew has previously told the Journal: “It is difficult for Papiss because he cannot speak English. I cannot explain to him in great detail what I want him to do and what he can do for the team. You are doing it through interpreters and the message can get lost.”

Pardew further explained how Demba Ba has acted as translator, saying: “In terms of getting my message across, I do use Demba (to translate) a lot. Demba has been helping him.” However, I want Newcastle fans to help Cisse speak Geordie!

Despite the language barrier, Papiss Cisse joined Twitter earlier in the week and you can follow him @CissePapiss. Yeterday Cisse Tweeted: “I know my english is not good but I got my manager helping me to communicate in english with fans. Already start english lessons”.

That’s good news, but before that Cisse revealed that he doesn’t only want to speak English, but he also wants to become a true Newcastle resident, Tweeting: “I wanna speak Geordie”.
