Cabaye would join Arsenal over Tottenham

Eden Hazard 2012Eden Hazard is all set for a move to the Premier League this summer and his former Lille teammate and Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye has advised him to move to Arsenal and not Tottenham Hotspur if the Belgian international signs for a north London club.

Hazard has been linked with a move to English football for ages, but it appears that this summer a transfer to the Premier League might actually come to fruition. Former teammate Cabaye has excelled in English football with Newcastle and there is no reason why Eden cannot do the same.

The 21-year-old Belgian forward is being courted by a number of Premier League clubs, but Arsenal and Spurs have emerged as the two favourites for his signature. However, for Cabaye it’s an easy choice and there’s only one north London club Hazard should sign for: the Gunners.

Speaking to Mirror Football, Cabaye said: “I am friends with Eden and if he comes to England then it will be good news for the Premier League. Tottenham or Arsenal? I recommend Arsenal. Spurs is a good club now but it’s not clear who will be coach next season.”

Cabaye continued: “Arsenal would be good for Hazard. Wenger speaks French and mentally Lille have a similar philosophy to Arsenal. I don’t know if conversations are advanced but Arsenal would be the best club for Hazard.”

So Cabaye has advised Hazard to snub Spurs and join Arsenal for a couple of reasons. Firstly because we don’t know who’ll be Tottenham manager next year as Harry Redknapp looks set to become England boss, and secondly because Wenger help him to settle into English football more quickly.

What I want to know is why isn’t Yohan advising Eden to join Newcastle? If the Magpies pip Tottenham to fourth place and qualify for the Champions League then Alan Pardew might just be given the money to make a big signing in the summer.

This is because we dont defend and attack in the killer tempo like Newcastle and Arsoles ours is real. If he came here he would end up like Palacios suddenly slowing up and going crap. Wigan exposed Arsoles tempo by out working them 2-1
