Newcastle United travel to White Hart Lane tomorrow to face Tottenham Hotspur and there’s one man in particular they need to look out for…

• Spurs were held to a 0-0 draw by Liverpool in their last game in a result that will please their top four rivals more than either team.

• Gareth Bale missed a great chance for Spurs, while Michael Dawson made didn’t put a foot wrong in his return to the team.

• Bale is now third in the EA SPORTS Player Performance Index for distance run with 146.3 miles, behind North London rivals Aaron Ramsey and Robin van Persie.

• Bale has averaged 6.38 miles per game this season.

• Bale has nine goals this season from 78 efforts at goal with 51% on target.

• He has also completed 76 dribbles, behind only Scott Sinclair in the EA SPORTS Player Performance Index.

• Newcastle’s Senegalese strike force made an immediate impact, with goals from Demba Ba and new signing Papiss Demba Cisse giving Newcastle a 2-1 winover Aston Villa in their last game.

• Tim Krul again performed heroics in the Newcastle goal to keep his team ahead.

• Danny Guthrie covered the most ground for Newcastle in that game with 7.24 miles, the second highest total from a single player in the last round of Premier League games.

• Guthrie has been limited to ten appearances this season, but has averaged a pass in his opponent’s half every five minutes and got 64% of shots on target while on the pitch and averaged 5.67 miles per game.

• Newcastle’s work rate has under pinned their success this season, with Cheik Tiote having the highest average distance run per game of any game in the EA SPORTS Player Performance Index with 6.84 miles per game.

• Demba Ba is second only to Robin van Persie in the Premier League goal scoring chart. Ba has sixteen goals this season from 52 attempts at goal with 67% on target.
