Newcastle United are not thought to have picked up any fresh injury concerns heading into Tuesday night’s Carabao Cup clash with Southampton.
Eddie Howe’s side hold a narrow 1-0 leader over their Premier League rivals thanks to Joelinton’s goal at St Mary’s last week and are favourites to make it to next month’s final at Wembley.
Having had the week off following their early FA Cup exit, Howe did not report on any new problems on the fitness front during Monday’s pre-match press conference.
With that in mind, it looks like more of the same for Newcastle, although Alexander Isak could perhaps push an out-of-form Callum Wilson for a starting berth.
New signing Anthony Gordon will not be in contention, having already played for Everton in this competition before his £40m move to St James’ Park.
Newcastle predicted XI (4-3-3): Pope; Trippier, Schar, Botman, Burn; Longstaff, Guimaraes, Willock; Almiron, Wilson, Joelinton
