Eddie Howe’s side suffered their first real blip of the season in Saturday’s disappointing FA Cup defeat away at Sheffield Wednesday and it will be fascinating to see how they respond.
Indeed, the manner of tonight’s performance will tell us an awful lot about this team, who have been riding the crest of a wave for almost a year now.
If they can make a first semi-final for the club in two decades all while maintaining their wonderful Premier League form, it would be some statement of intent after such a disappointment on Saturday.
The Foxes were easily beaten in their own backyard on Boxing Day and will be missing James Maddison for the game. With that in mind, there is surely little more reason to fear Brendan Rodgers’ side even despite the recent blow.
