Newcastle United travel to Tottenham on Sunday looking for their first win in three games.
While two losses on the bounce do not tell the whole story given the level of performance at Chelsea, Eddie Howe’s team do risk losing the momentum they were riding should the winless run continue.
Granted, it would take quite the collapse to see Newcastle relegated from here, although they are still four points off of the magical 35 mark, a tally high enough to keep teams in the division for the last three seasons. The sooner Newcastle get there, the sooner planning can go into next season.
Tottenham are on a good run themselves and it’s another difficult away trip for Howe’s side. A loss wouldn’t exactly be the worst result in the world, particularly with Burnley and Watford facing difficult-looking games on Saturday, but it’s important to stop this winless run as soon as possible.
Here’s everything you need to know about the game.
