Eddie Howe has confirmed Newcastle United could make changes for Saturday’s trip to Norwich City.
After playing – and beating – Leicester City and Crystal Palace in a matter of days, the Newcastle head coach has a number of options from which to choose.
While Ryan Fraser is facing a race against time to play again this season, there is little in the way of fresh injury concern.
Javier Manquillo, Joe Willock and Sean Longstaff were all on the bench against Palace and could feature should Howe look to tinker, while Dwight Gayle has been talked up by the Newcastle head coach and was afforded a brief cameo against Leicester.
Given Chris Wood has played in every game for which he’s been available, a potential rest might do him some good, with safety now all-but secured.
Newcastle United predicted XI (4-3-3): Dubravka; Manquillo, Schar, Burn, Targett; Shelvey, Willock, Longstaff; Almiron, Gayle, Saint-Maximin
Injured: Callum Wilson (heel), Kieran Trippier (foot), Ryan Fraser (hamstring)
Date and time: 3pm BST, Saturday April 23, 2022.
Referee: Chris Kavanagh, Simon Hooper (VAR)
