Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla reported that United were pushing a deal to sign ’s Valentino Lazaro along quickly yesterday and that news was later seemingly backed up by Lee Ryder, who claimed the were hoping to hold face-to-face talks with the player in the coming days.

With the story breaking, Sky Sports’ Keith Downie also offered his insight into the potential deal, claiming on Twitter that the Austrian international was due to fly to Tyneside to undergo a medical. Furthermore, he reported that there was a £20m option included in the arrangement, should the want to sign him permanently over the course of the summer.
