According to the Daily Telegraph, Newcastle United could consider a move for Tottenham Hotspur Danny Rose in an effort to strengthen the left-hand side of their defence following season-ending injuries to Jetro Willems and Paul Dummett.
The 29-year-old was recently reported by the Daily Mail to have fallen out with manager Jose Mourinho behind the scenes in North London and, with 29-caps for England, would surely represent one of the Toon’s bigger name signings in recent years should it come off.
Still, the kind of wages he’s reported to be on and the fact Willems may return to the club this summer on a permanent deal may mean an investment of such expense would be a poor idea when thinking long-term. Mike Ashley, after all, refused to push the boat out when it came to attempting to sign Salomon Rondon on a permanent deal during the summer of 2019, so it’s hard to see him doing that considering Rose is the same age.
However, a number of Newcastle fans reacted positively to the rumour online. Let’s have a closer look at it below.
Dont consider it get it done.If rose has issue with Jose Mourinho pounce on that

He’d be a cracking signing.

I'd go for that. Doubt it'll happen although i know he would ideally be happier in the north from what i understand.

Would you take Rose at Newcastle? Reckon he’d be worth the wages? Join the discussion by commenting below…
