According to Transfermarkt, the 29-year-old has a rating of just £10.9m and it’s important to remember that West Bromwich Albion pulled out of a permanent deal for the player in the summer following his loan stint at the club, citing his ‘ contract’, as per BBC Sport.

After all, he’s only thought to have cost Newcastle £10m in the first place and has just over a year on his contract remaining.
