Newcastle ’s form has really picked up of late, but one thing the Magpies are still missing is a first goal for winger .

Summer signing finally got off the mark in the 2-0 win over on Thursday with a fine header, but his fellow forward Almiron has yet to find the back of the net since his move from .

However, Sky Sports pundit Charlie Nicholas feels that the Paraguay international’s shocking run in front of goal is set to end against on Sunday.

“I have a feeling this could be the weekend Joelinton and Miguel Almiron finally break their ducks,” he wrote on the Sky Sports website, while predicting the Magpies will beat the Saints 2-1.

Ignoring the fact that Nicholas seems to believe Joelinton hasn’t scored for Newcastle yet (he netted the winner against Tottenham Hotspur earlier in the season), his Almiron prediction will surely have bouncing.

It’s going to happen sooner or later, and you get the sense it might be just round the corner. Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side aren’t the best at the back, so there’s every chance the Paraguayan may finally bring a smile to the Newcastle ’ faces on Sunday.
