It is also suggested that Champions League giants such as Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, and Borussia Dortmund are set to make an appearance at the Matmut Atlantique Stadium.
OPINION
Given the company that the Newcastle scouts will have when they travel to Bordeaux, there is clearly a strong range of talent on show when they welcome Monaco in the mid-table clash on Sunday. Badiashile was mentioned as a young starlet who Wolves have taken an interest towards, but given the Magpies strength in depth at the back, and Steve Bruce wanting to reinforce his midfield and attack, Newcastle will most likely not be taking a look at the defender. Steve Nickson will be looking to compile a strong list of targets with his scouting team for Bruce and his staff to look at before the start of the window, and trips like the one to France on Sunday will help the Magpies’ boss set aside the players that he wants to add to his team for the second half of the season. With a number of clubs clearly taking an interest, Newcastle will need to make their move quickly after identifying their targets.
