OPINION
Daily Mail journalist Craig Hope has reported on Twitter that Neil Redfearn has quit his job as Newcastle United’s Under-23s boss amid a fallout with a member of his coaching staff – and that has prompted a mixed reaction from some fans on the social media website. Redfearn hardly did a good job in charge of the young Magpies’ squad. They had won just three of 10 Premier League 2 fixtures and it’s not as if any of the players in that squad are giving Steve Bruce food for thought at the moment. That is why some fans are happy to see the back of the former Leeds manager. However others are concerned with the news because it highlights a mess that is going on behind the scenes at St James’ Park at the moment. It’s unlikely that this is the good news that Richard Keys eluded to on Monday, just before this claim about Redfearn. However it might be seen as a welcome relief in the long run.
