OPINION

Given ’s loyalty to Joelinton despite the summer signing only scoring once, it might be the right time for Gayle to exit the club in January. With only three appearances off the bench to his name in the Premier League, surely his chance has gone only four months into the season. Andy Carroll is more likely set to get a chance in front of Gayle, and that would be the final nail in the coffin leading up to the window. The 29-year-old would surely jump at the chance to go back into the Championship and try and earn promotion once again. Gayle scored 24 goals for last season but missed out in the play-offs, but with his only chance of Premier League football surely available to him through going up with a side like Forest to earn a consistent spot in the top flight. Grabban is a well-known goal scorer, so with him and Gayle upfront, Lamouchi would definitely be delighted with his options.
