OPINION
Newcastle United have confirmed the signing of young free agent Ludwig Francillette and as expected, some fans on Twitter simply aren’t bothered by the news or have taken it is as a chance to take a swipe at the club. Newcastle look like they could be in trouble after two defeats in their first two matches under Steve Bruce and according to some of these supporters, Francillette, 20, could be seen as someone who will be playing in their first-team in the Championship next season. While that is obviously an over-the-top view, Francillette is probably someone who won’t be ready to play in England’s second-tier for a while. The French free agent failed to win a deal at Scottish side St Mirren in the summer after a trial there but has since been snapped up by Newcastle’s Under-23s. It would be a shock if he was to ever play a single senior game for the Tyneside club.
