Stan Collymore has predicted that Tottenham will win 3-0 against Newcastle United when the two sides meet in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
The Magpies have failed to pick up a point in their first two games of the season after defeats against Arsenal and newly-promoted Norwich while Spurs have impressed by winning against Aston Villa before earning a 2-2 draw away at Manchester City last week.
Steve Bruce could start to find himself under pressure if things do not improve for Newcastle soon and ex-England international Collymore expects the London club to pile the misery on the Magpies when they meet at the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this weekend.
Collymore posted his 3-0 prediction via his personal Twitter account on Sunday.
OPINION
Even if you’re the most biased of Newcastle United fans, it is hard to disagree with Collymore on this. Rafa Benitez’s side of the last few season managed to frustrate teams like Tottenham. Although Spurs have won all four of the last four meetings between the two sides, it has never been by more than one goal. However after the shambles of last week when the Magpies lost 3-1 against Norwich, it is hard to see it being anything but an easy win for Spurs. If they fail to win by two or more goals then that is better than what most Toon fans are expecting. The defence has absolutely no clue, the midfield is aimless and the attack is non-existant. Tottenham on the other hand are without Tanguy Ndombele, but they still have the players who will be able to pick Newcastle apart and then there is Harry Kane up front, who is bound to get on the scoresheet.
