With only two weeks remaining until the start of the Premier League, Newcastle must go all out to keep improving their squad that has only seen one addition so far.

The club-record signing of Joelinton from Hoffenheim was much needed after seeing their two top-scorers from last season in both Ayoze Perez and Salomon Rondon leave St James’ Park, with more attacking options still needed this summer.

Steve Bruce has been reported by the Northern Echo to be interested in a move for Hull City winger Jarrod Bowen, with the Chronicle claiming the 22-year-old is keen on making the move to the North East – something that must see the Magpies go all out to secure his signature.

The young winger enjoyed his best season yet in the Championship for Hull, scoring 22 goals and adding four assists after featuring in all 46 matches in the campaign.

Bowen featured in a handful of different roles, highlighting his versatility, when playing as a striker, a winger, and in the hole just behind the forward – excelling in all three positions, using his pace and flair to unlock opposition defences with ease.

The 22-year-old would be a great addition at St James’ Park under Bruce, with his relentless style of fast direct football-only going to see the Magpies reap the benefits.

Bowen averaged 2.5 shots per game and was fouled 1.8 times on average every game last season, proving team identified him early on to try and prevent him from causing damage [WhoScored].

The Hull winger also averaged a single key pass every outing, highlighting how he could have easily of improved his four assists, which could have stood out as the area he must improve in [WhoScored].

With Bowen reportedly keen, Newcastle must go all out to sign him this summer and start to look forward to the beginning of the Premier League with a fresh attacking line-up.
