COMMENTARY
Unsurprisingly anyone associated with Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley is seen as an enemy by the Toon Army and the supporters at St James’ Park will take any chance possible to try and get one over them. This time it is Keith Bishop, Ashley’s PR man on Tyneside, who has suffered the brunt of the north east faithful’s fury, with his PR agency coming under fire on Twitter. The KBA Agency announced their return to the social media site on Tuesday [18/06] after a year but they might well be wishing they had remained away, the announcement quickly pounced upon by Newcastle fans who were left trolling it with a variety of comments, pictures and statements. With so much uncertainty at St James’ Park regarding Ashley, Bishop and his people might have been wise to avoid coming out of their social media hiatus just yet. Instead, they have put themselves right in the firing line and the Newcastle supporters have taken their chance with aplomb.
Nothing But Newcastle has gathered a selection of the Toon Army’s tweets trolling the senior figure:
Returning to Twitter BEFORE an #NUFCTakeover has taken place appears to be a PR disaster judging by the responses to this tweet. Oops.
