OPINION
The Daily Telegraph reported late on Tuesday night that Premier League giants Manchester United are lining up a bid for Newcastle United starlet Sean Longstaff in the next 48 hours. There seems to be a lot of panic from the Magpies faithful about this, and understandably so. They won’t want their finest young player to leave having only just made his first team breakthrough. The fact that the Red Devils are after the 21-year-old when he’s only played a handful of Premier League games tells you everything about the sorry state of affairs at Old Trafford at the moment. Still, the Newcastle fans won’t be bothered about what’s going on in Manchester, they’ll simply want to keep one of their best players at the club. One supporter says that this a move that would ruin Longstaff’s career and, while that might be an exaggeration, you don wonder whether now is the right time to join Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.

What is more worrying is that Man Utd to bid form him, they must have had some encouragement to do so by the player's representatives.
Rafa will surely not want to sell and neither NUFC imo. Hopefully it is only a tactic to get a better contract— Dan NUFC82 (@dan2882) May 22, 2019
