OPINION
Since his arrival in the summer of 2017, Christian Atsu has been very hit or miss with the Newcastle faithful. So far this season in the Premier League, the Ghana international has featured 27 times for Rafa Benitez’s side, and is yet to record a single goal or assist. Although the Magpies are safe, and their Premier League status is in-tact for another season, fans of the club have expressed their annoyance regarding the performances of certain players at the club, Atsu being one of them. Newcastle could only manage a single point in Saturdays clash away at Brighton, and the 27-year old didn’t exactly cover himself in glory, after being subbed off before the final whistle. Many fans have even expressed their opinions regarding the midfielder, stating their desires for the club to sell him in the summer, along with a number of other players who are also under fire at St. James’ Park.
